Self-inflating mats

Self-inflating mats consist of a plastic foam surrounded by a waterproof fabric. The plastic foam allows 'self inflating mats' to be very isolating. The great advantage of self-inflating sleeping mats compared to inflatable beds is that they are a lot lighter, compact to carry and a pump is not necessary. The thickness affects the level of comfort (from 2.5 to 10 cm).
